Meghan Markle made a surprise visit to the TrbeCaf, a drop-in center for homeless women, while abroad in Dsseldorf, Germany for her husband Prince Harry’s annual Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted stopping by the community caf which provides resources and a safe haven for girls and young women who live on the streets last week.
In an Instagram photo shared by nonprofit Diakonie Dsseldorf Karriere on Tuesday, Markle, 42, is seen wearing a cozy gray cable-knit sweater and coordinating slacks as she smiles with a group of women and children at the center.
“What a special moment! Duchess Meghan also visited our TrebeCaf during her stay in Dsseldorf on the occasion of the Invictus Games. ,” the nonprofit captioned the post, which was translated from German to English.
According to the organization, Markle “suddenly appeared at the door” and visitors spoke with the duchess about their struggles and life on the street before Markle prepared lunch for everyone.
“Meghan took over the chopping of vegetables without further ado,” the organization shared. “In a relaxed atmosphere, the young women now had the opportunity to ask the Duchess everything they had always wanted to know about her.”
In a photo reportedly posted and then deleted by a woman named Aylin Aydemir, Markle is seen smiling next to a woman dressed in black. Another snap displays the former “Suits” actress crouching next to a young girl dressed in pink.
A rep for the Sussexes and TrbeCaf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
